ABOUT ME

Yuanting Qiu (she/her) is a Cambridge Trust Scholar as a doctoral researcher at the University of Cambridge with research interests in embodied pedagogies, affects, interspecies relationality, feminist new materialism, practice-as-research, and decolonial and post-qualitative inquiries.

As a published non-fiction writer and a dancer, her research takes an interdisciplinary approach at the intersection of writing/words and dancing/movements by attending to embodied practices in everyday life. Her research about hugging and embodiment has been selected and presented as creative workshops and art installations in international exhibitions and conferences in London, Cambridge, Shanghai, Changsha and more. Her new book, an autoethnography about love, hugging, and feminist is to be published in China in 2025.
